Heartburn is growing problem not only in the United States but also in the world. It is estimated that 60 million Americans and growing are afflicted with the condition. Enough of that and let's discover some tips for immediate heartburn treatment.

Tip # 1 - If heartburn surges occur. Try swallowing saliva to ease the pain. Saliva reduces acidity in

the esophagus by 50%. Also, you might want to try to chew some chewing gums. This also stimulates saliva productions.

Tip # 2 - Grab some ginger ale or baking soda. What it does is it will produce gas in the stomach and eventually causing you to burp thus relieving pressure coming from the stomach.

Tip # 3 - Antacids, try to have some when heartburn occurs. It will reduce the acidity of the stomach. Do not use regularly! This will disturb the natural digestion process.

Tip # 4 - Drink lots of water or juice. Just avoid those tomato based juices. This will also reduce the acidity of the stomach.

Tip # 5 - Drink some herbal supplements. Especially those ginger tea. They will help you alleviate the pain.
